Now here’s a great idea, a river net on which a magnetic lanyard has been built into the end of the handle.
The shallow, fish-friendly pans are ideal for river wading and at 30 centimetres wide by 40 centimetres long by 30 centimetres deep they’re just about the perfect size for most river wading. The fine mesh on the bottom of the pan is useful for skimming naturals from the surface of the stream and the grip is textured to allow a firm hold, even when wet.
However, the real feature is the elasticated lanyard magnetically attached to the end of the handle. It’s strong enough to retain the net, even if dropped into a powerful flow, but can be quickly released from the lanyard when a fish has been banked.
If you’d rather attach the net handle to a belt loop than the lanyard, that’s easily achieved too!
