Elinor Fishery Report - August 7th - 13th

102 anglers 194 fish of which 118 were returned.

Best Fish

5lb 0oz  John Oram, Desborough, red diawl bach, boat

4lb 12oz  Derek Benamore, Finedon, daddy

4lb 7oz  Bryan Swain, Brampton, damsel

4lb 4oz  Mal Broughton, Grantham, orange snake

Best Areas

Bank - east arm, gravel bar, boat bay

Boat - pylon point, east arm, down middle

Best Patterns

Damsel, adult damsel, dry or wet daddy, red cruncher, red diawl bach, tequila fab/booby, orange snake.

Another slow week with a rod average of just under two.

We continue to stock regularly and very few fish are being killed so the fishing should be back with a bang soon if the water continues to cool.

There are still plenty of damsels hatching during the day and a few buzzers in the evening to keep some fish surface feeding.

Nymphs and dries with some red in continue to score.

Many thanks to all the anglers who've continued to support the fishery during a difficult July/August.
