Whether you are an absolute beginner, an improver or an experienced angler looking to sharpen up before a trip, they can tailor a lesson to your exact requirements, from single and double-handed disciplines to advanced techniques and boat fishing.
They also offer a varied portfolio of day and residential courses throughout the UK and, in conjunction with Farlows Travel, across the globe. These are designed to be fun and to allow you to hone existing skills and learn new ones in great company and great surroundings – with a chance of catching some great fish too!

The location is 5 minutes from Junction 12 on the M4 and only half an hour's drive outside London. Theale train station (on the Great Western Mainline) is just next door. Their school is easily accessible from anywhere in Southern England or further afield.
The location is perfect for tuition and with Haywards Farm Lake there is a 12-acre venue with casting platforms both above and below the water, allowing you to perfect every cast from a single-handed overhead to the more technical snake rolls and snap T’s.

Plus, the tuition area is just a short walk from the Sportfish Reading store which offers you the perfect opportunity to try a range of equipment with an instructor before you purchase.

This Friday the Sportfish National Fishing Centre in Reading will host the launch of National Fishing Month. The event will be a customised day full of hands-on angling opportunities, the event focus is on youngsters and newcomers and falls in line with the core ethos of NFM. There will be tutored fishing on the lake, one-to-one advice from some of the biggest names in the sport, and demonstrations throughout the day that will illustrate just how easy it is to get started.
The Nation Fishing Month initiative encourages new people into the sport, and will see over 250 events take place across the UK throughout the summer. NFM coordinator Naidre Werner commented: 'I am absolutely delighted that Sportfish have kindly offered us their amazing facilities to ensure that National Fishing Month gets off to a fantastic, flying start.’
