Frozen North Fly Fishing Daphnia Fritz - RATED!

New for 2017 is Daphnia Fritz from the guys at FNF.

This dense Fritz material has curly fibres that creates thick, compact bodies. You will only need a few turns of the material on standard blob hooks to create a body that covers the shank. This material does create blobs and boobies that are very different fron your standard fare. You will need to use a good wide-gape hook because the length and thickness of the fibres could affect your hook-up rate on standard wet-fly hooks.

This material can be used to create alternative egg patterns and is something I will be trying this winter. The fibres, which are stripped from the core, can also be used as dubbing with the prawn coloured Fritz, making nice shrimp patterns. The Fritz comes in 1m bags, in 10 colours to start, following those shades used in the other Fritz from FNF. Will this be the material of 2017? I think so!
